A Biographical Sketch of Rev. Taylor Mertins and Family
Rev Mertins will be welcomed into the Cokesbury UMC Church family as our pastor on Sunday July 2, 2017. Rev. Mertins is a young man of 29 years old and has been serving St. John’s UMC in Staunton, VA for the last 4 years. He and his wife Lindsey will be celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary on April 27th which is also their son Elijah’s 1st birthday. Rev. Mertins asks for your prayers.
Rev. Mertins was born and raised in Alexandria, VA and attended Aldersgate UMC in the Ft. Hunt area. He graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with a B.A. in Religious Studies. In 2013, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity. He is an ordained elder in the Virginia Conference and has been worshipping at different United Methodist Churches his entire life.
Rev. Mertins and his family will join for his first Sunday worship service on July 2nd, 2017, so please join us and help us welcome Rev. Mertins and his family into our faith family.
