Gathering Music – Sweet, Sweet Spirit – UMH 334
There’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place,
and I know that it’s the Spirit of the Lord;
there are sweet expressions on each face,
and I know they feel the presence of the Lord.
Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly Dove,
stay right here with us, filling us with your love,
and for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise;
without a doubt we’ll know that we have been revived
when we shall leave this place.
Welcome

Song – Holy, Holy, Holy (Santo, Santo, Santo) – TFWS 2007
Holy, holy, holy. My heart, my heart adores you!
My heart knows how to say to you: You are holy, Lord!
¡Santo, santo, santo, mi corazon te adora!
Mi corazon te sabe decir: ¡Santo eres, Dios!
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty (v. 1,3,4) – UMH 64
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee. Holy, holy, holy!
Merciful and mighty, God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Prayer
O God, the Holy Spirit, come to us, and among us; come as the wind, and cleanse us; come as the fire, and burn; come as the dew, and refresh; convict, convert, and consecrate many hearts and lives to our great good and to your greater glory; and this we ask for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.

Children’s Message:
When Pentecost Day arrived, the disciples were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound from heaven like the howling of a fierce wind filled the entire house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be individual flames of fire alighting on each one of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them to speak.
Scripture Reading – Acts 2:14-16
Peter, standing with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them, “Judeans and all who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to what I say. Indeed, these are not drunk, as you suppose. No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel: God declares, “in the last days it will be that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. And I will show portents in the heaven above and signs on the earth below. The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the Lord’s great and glorious day. Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
L: For the Word of God in scripture; for the Word of God within us and for the Word of God among us we say:
All: Thanks be to God.
