Pray for Peace

As the different images and videos come through from the Capitol building (and from various state capitals across the country), it is good and right for us to pray to the Prince of Peace to still the hearts, minds, and souls of those who have resorted to violence in the midst of continued unrest. As you are able, I encourage you to take time to lift up your prayers to the Lord and, if you are unsure what to say, you can use these words:

Lord, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawnbut the sword of righteousness, no strength known but thestrength of love: So mightily spread your Spirit, thatpeace might reign today and forever. Amen.
