Welcome
Call to Worship:
L: From different towns and cities,
All: We gather to worship our Creator
L: From different streets and addresses
All: We gather to worship our Redeemer
L: From different homes, and condos, and townhouses and apartments,
All: We gather to worship our Sustainer. Let us worship as one body in Christ!
Song – We Will Glorify the King of Kings – TFWS 2087
Twila Paris CCLI# 19038
We will glorify the King of kings, we will glorify the Lamb;
we will glorify the Lord of lords, who is the great I AM.
He is Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, he is Lord of all who live;
he is Lord above the universe, all praise to him we give.
Crown Him with Many Crowns – UMH 327
Matthew Bridges and Godfrey Thring CCLI# 23938
Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul and sing of him who died for thee,
and hail him as thy matchless King through all eternity.
Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o’er the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died and rose on high,
who died, eternal life to bring and lives that death may die.
Prayer:
(All) Lord, the world tells us to think more highly of ourselves than we ought. The world assures us that we must be divided over our differences. As we worship and praise, call us into a transformational relationship with you. Unite us once more as one body, made up of many members. Encourage us to celebrate the different gifts we each bring. Empower us to who the world all that is acceptable and perfect in your sight. We boldly ask all of this in the beautiful name of Jesus. Amen
Scripture Reading – Romans 12:1-5
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, on the basis of God’s mercy, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable act of worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
Message – Be Transformational – Pastor Gayle
Service of Prayer for Healing
Call to Prayer
L: The God of strength moves within us
All: the God of courage hears our distress
L: The God of hope reveals wholeness to us;
All: the God of healing touches us when we are broken.
L: When the pain overwhelms us, when the burden is too heavy,
All: we turn to our God, who is loving and present.
L: When there is loneliness, when there is isolation,
All: we turn to our God, who is loving and present.
L: For God created us, redeemed us and sustains us,
All: and we are not alone. Lead us in your ways, O God, and bring us your healing touch.
Song – Be Still and Know – TFWS 2057
John Bell CCLI# 4524625
Be still and know, that I am God. Be still and know, that I am God.
Scripture – James 5:13-16
Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.

Song – Blest Be the Tie That Binds – UMH 557
John Fawcett CCLI# 25369
Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.
When we asunder part, it gives us inward pain;
but we shall still be joined in heart, and hope to meet again.
