Prayer:
Almighty God, we come together this morning in gratitude to praise you. We come together, seeking your healing presence and nurturing word that renews our spirits and feeds our souls. May both our ears and our hearts be open to receive your word and your healing power that overcomes our resistance to your grace and enables us to hear you more clearly. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
Scripture – Ephesians 5:1-2, 6-14:
Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Benediction:
May the deep, flowing mystery of God’s grace surround and enfold you. May the loving and faithful way of Jesus be the path we walk each day. May the living, breathing Spirit of God call to us and lead us and equip us for that path.
