Call to Worship
L: How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts!
All: My soul longs for the courts of the Lord.
L: Happy are those who live in your house.
All: They will find rest and a safe and healthy place to be.
L: Happy are those whose strength is in you, O Lord.
All: Though we walk through troubled and sorrowful times we’ll go from strength to strength for you are with us.

Song – Medley Holy, Holy, Holy – TFWS 2007
Holy, holy, holy. My heart, my heart adores you!
My heart knows how to say to you: You are holy, Lord!
Santo, santo, santo. ?Mi corazón te adora!
Mi corazón te sabe decir: Santo eres, Dios!

Holy, Holy, Holy – UMH 64
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

Prayer:
(All) Gracious God, you have welcomed all people into your kingdom. Remove from us the barriers that we build to keep people from you, so that all might live in your grace and peace. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen

Scripture Reading – Mark 7:24-29
From there he set out and went away to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know he was there. Yet he could not escape notice, but a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately heard about him, and she came and bowed down at his feet.    Now the woman was a gentile, of Syrophoenician origin. She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.    He said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.”    But she answered him, “Sir, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”   Then he said to her, “For saying that, you may go—the demon has left your daughter.”
L: For the Word of God in scripture; for the Word of God within us and for the Word of God among us we say:
All: Thanks be to God.

Amen
