In-Person Worship Canceled – 3/15 & 3/22

To the people of Cokesbury Church:

In light of recent updates to the spread of the Coronavirus here in Virginia, we have decided to cancel in-person worship the next two Sundays (3/15 & 3/22) and possibly beyond if the situation merits. After careful consideration and consultation with other area pastors, healthcare professionals, and the leadership at our church, we believe this is the safest and most faithful thing to do for our church at this time.

Knowing that not everyone will receive this message via online communication, we appreciate your willingness to share this announcement with other members of our church community.

I will be live-streaming a worship service on Sunday morning around 11am from the sanctuary that will be available through our church Facebook page which can be found here: Cokesbury Church (www.facebook.com/cokesburywoodbridge/). Additionally, the audio and written text of the service will be made available shortly after the service at www.ThinkandLetThink.com and here: Sermon Audio

In the coming days/weeks, please be sure to exercise caution regarding any activities outside of your homes, maintain excellent hygiene, and ask for help if you need it.

Additionally, this is a time for us to be deeply in prayer for Woodbridge, our health care professionals, and vulnerable communities across the world.

If possible, please consider continuing your financial support of the church by mailing in your offering, or contributing online here:

We will make it through this strange and difficult time together, even if we can’t gather together while doing it. God is with us, and God will be with us until we meet again.
