Song – He Has Made Me Glad – TFWS 2270:
I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter his courts with praise.
I will say, “This is the day that the Lord has made.” I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.
He has made me glad, he has made me glad. I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.
He has made me glad, he has made me glad, I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.

Prayer:
Lord, open to us the sea of your mercy and water us with full streams from the riches of your grace and the springs of your kindness. Make us children of quietness and heirs of peace; kindle in us the fire of your love and strengthen our weakness by your power as we become close to you and to each other. (Syrian Church)

Scripture – Matthew 25:31-46:
31  “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.  32  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,  33  and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the goats at the left.  34  Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;  35  for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,  36  I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’  37  Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?  38  And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing?  39  And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’  40  And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, [g]  you did it to me.’  41  Then he will say to those at his left hand, ‘You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;  42  for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,  43  I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’  44  Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’  45  Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’  46  And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
L: The word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God!

Song – They’ll Know We are Christians by Our Love:
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord,
we are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord,
and we pray that all unity may one day be restored.
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love;
yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.
We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand,
We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand.
And together we’ll spread the news that God is in our land.
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love;
yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.

Sermon – Rev. Gayle Porias

Prayer of Confession:
Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we have not loved our neighbors, we have not welcomed the stranger and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Heal our hearts and transform our lives. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pardon:
Hear the good news: Christ died for us while we were yet sinner; that proves God’s love toward us.
In the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven!
Congregation: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
All: Glory to God. Amen

Offering and signs of reconciliation and love: Our tithes, time, talent, prayer and witness

Song – Just a Closer Walk with Thee – TFWS 2158:
Just a closer walk with thee, grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
daily walking close to thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
I am weak but thou art strong; Jesus keep me from all wrong;
I’ll be satisfied as long, as I walk, let me walk close to thee.
Just a closer walk with thee, grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
daily walking close to thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
Through this world of toil and snares, if I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares? None but thee, dear Lord, none but thee.
Just a closer walk with thee, grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
daily walking close to thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Prayer of dedication and Intercession

The Lord’s Supper:
All are welcome at the Lord’s Table by the invitation of Jesus Christ.

The Great Thanksgiving
Pastor: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
P: Lift up your hearts
All: We lift them up to the Lord

P: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
P: It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Almighty God, creator of heaven and earth.
And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join in their unending hymn:
All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
P: Holy are you, and blessed is your Son Jesus Christ. Your Spirit anointed him to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to announce that the time had come when you would save your people. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and ate with sinners. By the baptism of his suffering, death and resurrection you have birth to your Church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death and made with us a new covenant by water and the Spirit. At his ascension you exalted him to sit and reign with you at your right hand.

Words of Institution:
On the night in which he gave himself up for us, he took break, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, gave it to his disciples and said: Take, eat, this is my body which is give for you. Do this in remembrance of me. When the supper was over, he took the cup, gave thanks to you, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Drink from this, all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith:
All: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them to be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. By your Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory, and we feast at his heavenly banquet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty God, now and forever. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sharing the Bread and Cup

Song – Just As I Am – UMH 357:
Just as I am without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me,
and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt,
fightings, and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
because thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, they love unknown, hath broken every barrier down;
now, to be thine, yea, thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Benediction

Song – Guide My Feet – TFWS 2208
Guide my feet while I run this race. Guide my feet while I run this race.
Guide my feet while I run this race, for I don’t want to run this race in vain.
Hold my hand while I run this race. Hold my hand while I run this race.
Hold my hand while I run this race, for I don’t want to run this race in vain.
Stand by me while I run this race. Stand by me while I run this race.
Stand by me while I run this race, for I don’t want to run this race in vain.
