Prince William State of Emergency – 3/16/2020

In response to the coronavirus, strain COVID-19, pandemic, Prince William County declared a State of Emergency on Monday, March 16th. This follows Virginia’s emergency declaration on Thursday, March 12th, and the federal emergency declaration on Friday, March 13th. This declaration does not indicate any escalation of the seriousness of the disease itself, but frees up county resources and implements new guidelines to better respond to the pandemic.

Please stay tuned to our local news for further updates.

In the coming days/weeks, please be sure to exercise caution regarding any activities outside of your homes, maintain excellent hygiene, and ask for help if you need it.

Additionally, this is a time for us to be deeply in prayer for Woodbridge, our health care professionals, and vulnerable communities across the world.
